Anxiety Disorders are one of the most common psychiatric disorders all over the world, and it affects all sections of the society, but it is more common among teenagers and young people. Many diverse factors such as individual characteristics, family and lifestyle, economic and social issues, corona virus and addiction to the Internet and virtual spaces, are involved in the aggravation of anxiety in young people. One of the most important environments is the place that young people are educating there, cause they spend lots of time in there. The question of research is how the environmental legibility affects students' anxiety in the Faculty of Art and Architecture of Mazandaran University, and the hypothesis of the research is the effectiveness of various components of legibility, such as short paths, inviting entrances, and clarity of signs in reducing anxiety in students; As a result, the aim of the research is to extract the legibility components of the environment that are effective in reducing anxiety so designers can use them in their designs. The research method is survey and descriptive-analytical and data collection is done in library and field. Statistical Society of research were Architectural students who have spent at least one semester in Art and Architectural Faculty on Mazandaran University so the anxiety caused by entering a new environment got eliminated. The research is done in two steps. In the first step, Zang Standard questionnaire (S.A.S) has been used for architectural students to find out the State of anxiety disorders in faculty. According to results of Zang questionnaire, 55 percent of students suffer from anxiety disorder and 40 percent of that is mild anxiety, 11/7 is severe anxiety and 3/3 is Very intense anxiety and females were more anxious than male students. In the second step, the tool that was used, was a visual questionnaire that anxious architectural students with similar specifications, like their level of anxiety, gender and university degrees, answered to. Anxious students, placed in two groups. They had to respond researcher-made questionnaires; Control group questionnaire included questions related to feelings of anxiety for the current Faculty of Art and Architecture, and experimental group questionnaire included same questions for the new design of researcher, in which legibility components are included in that. The results of the study indicated that the inviting of the entrance, light and color adequate, visibility to signs, clear and short access routes with proper circulation, suitable pause and movement points to regulate population density, spatial diversity and form contrasts, use of forms familiar with the history and culture of users along with simplicity, Order and uniformity in architectural design, so that the design has the ability to remain in the mind and to be recounted, is effective in reducing students' anxiety and architects can use components in their designs. Therefore, the research hypothesis has been proven and short paths, inviting entrances, and clarity of signs are effective in reducing anxiety of students and the most important factor is inviting entrances.
