The characteristics of this book have given it a special and unique place in such researchs. However, this work, like many other works, is not free from ambiguities and content criticism. The present study intends to study and critique the content of the book through descriptive-analytical methods and documentary studies. The results of this study emphasize on the richness of the book in observing and interpreting details, and trying to explain the Islamic art in line with the concepts of the Holy Bible of Islam, the Quran, and also provide reviews in various sections of the book, and open new perspectives in the mind of the reader towards its chapters. <em>مسجد آئینۀ اسلام</em> (1985) از کتاب­ های مفصل و مهم روژه گارودی، فیلسوف مشهور فرانسوی، در باب هنر و معماری اسلامی و مساجد جهان اسلام، در جایگاه مظهر کامل اعتقادات اسلامی، است. ویژگی­ های این کتاب بدان جایگاهی خاص، و کمابیش منحصر به فرد، در این­گونه پژوهش­ ها بخشیده است. با وجود این، این اثر هم مانند بسیار آثار دیگر، خالی از ابهامات و بی‌ نصیب از انتقادات محتوایی نیست. پژوهش حاضر با شیوۀ توصیفی ـ تحلیلی و مطالعات اسنادی به بررسی و نقد محتوایی کتاب می‌ پردازد. نتایج این پژوهش ضمن تاکید بر غنای کتاب در مشاهده و تفسیر جزئیات، و تلاش برای تبیینی همسو از هنر اسلامی با مفاهیم کتاب مقدس اسلام، قرآن، نقدهایی را در بخش­ های مختلف کتاب طرح می­ کند، و نظرگاه ­های تازه ­ای را در ذهن خوانندۀ کتاب نسبت به محتوای آن می ­گشاید. https://arcand.journal.art.ac.ir/article_980_3810aa962d44c37b60805849c461319f.pdf
