The resources in exchange for the quality obtained in this matter made the construction of these buildings unjustifiable both economically and environmentally. For this reason, modularity was considered in the design of residential complexes. Also, the use of modular construction methods such as prefabrication and industrial construction became possible in order to greatly improve the construction in terms of quality, management, and speed of construction. The use of industrialization along with modular design has been chosen in the field of designing and constructing residential complexes to eliminate many areas. In our country, the increasing need for housing and the impact of global housing project developments have been exploited with modular design and construction, but in the meantime, less attention is paid to examining the types of modulars together and also the relationship between the formwork and the formation of modular design. This research has examined the types of modulation and formwork methods by examining case studies, so that appropriate methods can be proposed for designing a modular residential complex and selecting formwork. As a result, a modular design requires a modular structural tool and a modular structure system consisting of formwork modules for optimal implementation.
